Meera Agarwal
In these pieces I use modern abstract symbolism which are journal entries or notes which I would rather not write or think but paint. Most of my artwork is a produce of when I find it overwhelming to capture ideas or thoughts while am exploring something deeply.
My mind is in the social development space as well as other humanities and my background is commerce. These put together are currently influencing my interest and style in all my mediums. When one medium fails I organically move to the other. My experience frameworks are a strength that I want to blend here and contribute to the growth of the mediums I use. By being cognizant of the Meta of each medium.
The gap between my work and its viewer’s understanding of it is wide, which inspires me to create and share more.
My art is not about creativity. It is about weaving my limitations of observation into larger shareable experiences that resonate with others. It is because I attempt to expand my sense of self to include others. It is but a glorified celebration of my process, of shrinking my limitations. To enjoy my state of misery, away from a union. While I master myself, the art is but a by-product. It’s a waste on its own. But of value depending on what’s being reflected. It’s (my art) inanimate but its valuable by its nature of existence (its truth), of which only some is to do with me.
I participate with labels like contemporary, abstract, whilst rejecting them. I try to explain myself using narratives to include in my limitations to eventually expand the self to a point where our lives are experienced consciously as one.
